Garden heaters for hire
Surprisingly the hiring of garden and patio heaters is becoming an increasingly big market.
At first this may seem strange because many gas (propane or butane) based heaters are fantastic value to buy. However, there are actually some very good reasons why you might want to consider hiring one.
Why hire a patio heater
With propane patio heaters starting at as little as one hundred pounds or dollars, you could be mistaken for thinking that only an idiot would rent rather than but one of these items. But there are some advantages to hire over buy.
- Firstly, if you are having an outdoor party this may be the only time when you require a heater. Perhaps more significantly, it may be that a party or event means that you need more than one garden heater, and this would be an extra heater that you may never again use.
- Secondly, although these heaters are happy to be outside in dry weather they do need to be stored inside when the weather is poor and over winter. As large items this can present a storage problem if you do not have a garage, out building or free storage space. These are problems that you do not encounter when you have finished with your hire heater.
- Thirdly, although a hire heater may seem quite pricey based upon a single day hire rate, the cost will normally include a full bottle of propane or butane. Given the cost of this gas (or the refills) the daily hire rate (which normally drops significantly after the first day’s hire) becomes very reasonable.
- Fourthly, you will be able to select exactly the right heater (or heaters) for the power output, garden area and guest numbers that you require for a specific event. In other words, your choice is determined purely by the event in question and not long term use, storage restrictions or budget limitations.
- Fifthly, this is the best solution if you are in the hotel, event or public house sector where different events and parties will have different needs. In these instances, where multiple hires on a regular basis are required, discounts will also add to the appeal of this heating option.
- Finally, cleaning, removing, refilling and maintaining the heater are not your problems. When you finish with your hire the garden heater is picked up and taken away. You simply forget about it, unless or until you want to hire one again.
Hire costs
The cost of renting a garden heater varies. One day hires can start from 25 pounds Stirling (around 25 to 30 US Dollars) with extra days generally being added at about half of the first day price. Special rates for full weeks and even weekends are usually available. These costs will normally include set up and an operating demonstration.
